About
Broskie Tech is a place for practical, hands-on technology projects, experiments, and lessons learned along the way.
I'm a software engineer by day but have a profound interest in hardware, homelab, and DIY. I started my homelab journey back in 2014 while in college and built my own website hosted on a raspberry pi. The goal was to publish some of my projects and a portfolio to help in the job market and along the way, I started tracking vehicle maintenance, and setup a smart cat feeder to feed my cats while away from home occasionally. And, oh man have I come a long way since those days.
Today, I self host almost everything that makes sense, from Nextcloud, Home Assistant, Immich, Jellyfin and many others. I 3D print cases, build smart lights and generally anything that can better my laziness.
You will find articles in this blog for DIY projects, homelab, or just my experience from the past decade of self hosting, learning and growing.
If something here helps you build your own project, solve a problem, or avoid one of the mistakes I made along the way, then the blog has done its job.
